On 13 September 2024, Ghent-based post-punk band The Rats will release their debut EP, “Disco To Disco”. Riding the wave of a successful spring, in which The Rats performed at the iconic venue Botanique in Brussels and conquered hearts at the semi-finals of Humo’s Rock Rally 2024, the band headed to Thomas Valkiers’ Hightime Studio. The result is a diverse EP in which fans of the contemporary post-punk revival (IDLES, Shame and Italia 90) are sure to find their liking. Although the sound is also indebted to founders of the genre such as Gang Of Four, Wire and PiL. As a matter of fact, The Rats supported the latter band in a sold-out Concertzaal De Vooruit in 2023.
